New
Directions has partnered with Turnkey Construction Management
Institute (TCMI) to provide vocational courses for our residents
in the construction trade. The individualized, hands-on training
will prepare them for positions as construction superintendents,
construction project managers or construction estimators.
The 16-week Estimator and Project Management course is being
taught at New Directions Regional Opportunity Center. Before
training could begin, the classroom site was redesigned to
accommodate the curriculum and was then approved by the Bureau
for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education.
Once
the courses are completed, TCMI will assist each graduate
with their presentation portfolios and provide job listings
and interviewing techniques.
