Hill Foundation Awards Social Entrepreneurial Fund Grant to
New Directions
Our
thanks go to the Liberty
Hill Foundation, which awarded New Directions a grant
towards the purchase of a golf catering cart. The golf
cart will enable New Directions to expand food services offered
by the Veterans Village Diner,
a New Directions social enterprise
that provides on-the-job training for formerly homeless veterans.
Our new golf cart will enable food delivery throughout the
larger Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) campus and increase
awareness of our services and enterprises to help homeless
veterans rejoin their families and society.

Event - Westside Business Expo
On Tuesday, March
2, 2004, New Directions will have an exhibit at the Westside
Business Expo to publicize our social enterprises (Catering,
Construction, Veterans
Village Diner). These business enterprises provide
job training opportunities for formerly homeless veterans
and generate revenue to help sustain their operations.
