MENTAL HEALTH SUPERVISOR
The Mental Health Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of the clinical staff. He/she will ensure that appropriate training is given, supervise interns and specialized service providers and provide direct service to clients.
Job Duties
- Oversees all clinical staff, and is responsible for hiring, firing, and progressive discipline as needed
- Develops and implements internal training schedule for agency
- Assists program supervisors and case mangers to address clinical issues beyond their scope
- Provides individual and group counseling to program participants
- Provides psychosocial assessments and evaluations, both on site and off
- Provides case consultation with program staff and supplemental treatment plans
- Serves as an advocate with government agencies for client financial resources
- Provides crisis intervention
- Provides supervision to social work, MFT, or counseling interns
- Coordinates with VA treatment teams to assure coordination and quality of service to ND veterans
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Degrees/certifications: Masters level training in social work, psychology/counseling, family therapy.
- License required with 2 years of licensure (LCSW)
- Experience with substance abuse treatment
- Ability and experience supervising MFT or MSW interns
