New Directions, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  Your tax-deductible contribution plays a vital role in our ability to carry out our mission. Every donation, large or small, helps provide food, shelter, and rehabilitation services for a homeless veteran in need.

With a great sense of loss we announce that Chris Russell, longtime Board member, generous friend and tireless champion of New Directions, passed away on March 31, 2008.  Chris joined NDI's Board of Directors in 1994 and served as Chair for several Years.  He will be greatly missed.

Every Dollar Counts

$25 provides 3 meals for one day to 4 veterans

$50 provides 2 pairs of work boots or shoes for 2 veterans

$100 provides a suit for a job interview

$250 provides 1 day of vocational training for 8 veterans
$500 provides 25 hours of computer training for 10 veterans

How You Can Help - For Individuals

• Make a gift to New Directions in honor or in memory of a loved one, or in honor of a special occasion. 
• Pledge a monthly automatic credit card donation.
• Use your employer's matching gift program to double your gift.
• Make an in-kind donation of services or merchandise.
• Ask guests to make a donation to New Directions instead of bringing gifts to a party.
• Remember New Directions in your will and estate planning.
• Make a donation of real estate, stocks or bonds.
• Buy groceries at Ralphs and contribute to NDI through the Community Rewards Program.

How You Can Help - For Companies

• Hire one of New Directions' Social Enterprises.
• Use New Directions for your television or movie filming location (see Filming Opportunities)
• Offer employment opportunities to New Directions' graduates (contact our Employment Coordinator). 
• Sponsor a New Directions event such as the Veterans Day Golf Classic on November 3, 2008
• Offer surplus office supplies and furniture to New Directions before throwing them away.
• Make an in-kind donation of services or merchandise.
• Plan an office holiday gift drive to benefit homeless veterans served by New Directions.
