In Summer 2003, New Directions opened the Veterans Village
Diner located on the North Side of the VA Campus. The Veterans
Village Diner serves home style cooking at reasonable prices
in a World War II 1940’s diner atmosphere. The Diner
is another New Directions social enterprise, which means that
all profits from the operations go directly towards saving
more veterans’ lives. So on top of getting great food
at reasonable prices you can feel good about supporting those
who fought for your freedom. Take a moment and read the most recent Diner review!
The food offering ranges from delicious turkey sandwiches
and fresh salads to hot lunch specials, such as vegetarian
lasagna and BBQ chicken. Every Friday, we will start the weekend
off right with a BBQ. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken will
be served hot off the grill. Don’t forget to leave room
for our homemade cookies, peach cobbler, and sweet potato
pie.
Hours of operation are from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
