DIRECTIONS HOSTS SECOND ANNUAL JOB FAIR FOR VETS OCTOBER

New
Directions will host their second annual Job Fair for Vets
on Thursday,
October 27, 2005 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the New Directions
Regional Opportunity Center on the Veterans Administration
Hospital grounds. This year's theme, "Employers Helping
Americans" is geared toward the Los Angeles area doing
its part to recruit skilled veterans, Katrina evacuees and
others in the community in need of employment. Over 50 employers
and 300 attendees are anticipated to participate. Supporting
partners include EDD's West Los Angeles
Job
Service Office, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System,
LAVEC, Salvation
Army, Playa Vista Jobs, 99 Cents Only Stores and the office
of Bill Rosendahl.
This
event is free to job-seekers and is open to the public.
New Directions is looking for interested employers to participate.
Registration is $50 per table and includes lunch. For more
