The
enclosed area on the New Directions property containing the
dog house that was built by the Handy Workers several years
ago, was too empty and too silent for too long. So last week,
the New Directions staff adopted Yuki (at left with Development
Associate Tim Alexander) from the Los Angeles animal
shelter. Yuki, a Japanese Aikida, is still considered a pup
at one and a half and will be growing for another couple of
years. She can be seen every morning 'in training' with a
New Directions resident or running away to the Japanese Gardens
here on campus where she probably feels right at home.
